Before and after school provision

At Oakwood we are aware that people lead busy lives, often with parents or carers working. We have therefore worked hard to ensure that there is quality before and after school provision in place for your child if and when needed.

Breakfast Club
Supersportz runs a breakfast club every morning from 7.30 am for children who attend Oakwood and Greenfields School. This is run from St Johns Church on Green Lane. The club is staffed by fully qualified and insured coaches with enhances CRB checks. A healthy breakfast is offered and served any time between 7.45 and 8.15 am and a walking bus is operated to get the children to their individual schools.

After School Care Club (ASCC)
At the end of a busy school day, it is normal for all children to be tired and in need of rest and relaxation. With this in mind the school offers an after school club, run by SCL which allows children to play and rest. SCL is an Ofsted registered childcare provider working with over 130 school and nurseries. Juice and a snack is provided, and the club runs from 3.15 until 5.45 pm. ASCC is run from the school premises and collection is made from the side of the school.

Greenfield’s After School Playscheme (GASP)
Greenfields Junior School offer an after school playscheme for Year 1 and 2 children from 3:15 pm to 5:30 pm. Children are collected from Oakwood Infant School and walked to Greenfields by the staff who run GASP. This after school provision can be convenient for parents who have siblings who attend both the junior and infant school.

If you would like to register your child for Breakfast Club, ASCC or GASP please contact the school office who will give you the necessary forms and information.
